L’Atelier de Candale: first Saint-Émilion’s restaurant ever settled in the heart of the vineyards
We produce wine to share it with friends at our table. Saint-Émilion have many friends, all this people coming to visit our village or vineyards, both listed as UNESCO world heritage sites.
At the edge of Saint-Émilion village, settled at Château de Candale, our restaurant, which is the first to have opened in the middle of the vineyards in Saint-Émilion, enjoys a unique location and large terraces for enjoying the breathtaking view of the vineyards and of the Dordogne valley.
The setting and the cuisine mix tradition and modernity. Our chef, Renaud Bernardet, and his team offer creative and festive cuisine from Tuesday to Saturday, based on fresh, seasonal products for gourmet and refined moments. We have selected for you artisan producers who love their profession and who share our quest for excellence and deliciousness. The great fresh and local products of the South-West of France are celebrated through unique and familiar recipes. The seafood comes directly from the near ocean, our meats from Saint-Denis-de-Pile, our cheeses from Libourne, bread and chocolate from Saint-Émilion….
The dishes pair with wines, red, white or rosé (our wine list) from our estates but also those from our neighbors, other French or even foreign wine regions.
