CHÂTEAU LA COMMANDERIE
GRAND CLU CLASSÉ DE SAINT-ÉMILION
Château La Commanderie, Grand Cru Classé since 2012 classification, is a jewel of the Magali & Thibaut Decoster Vineyards. Powerful and very charming wine, it offers a very fine, floral and delicate profile, specific of the northwest terroirs of the appellation.
Refined terroir and sublime wine
Located on 4.5 hectares of gravel, ferruginous sands and clay, facing south, the vines benefit from a terroir of bright and refined limestone gravel terraces. This location is favorable to early ripening and floral nose that gives very seductive wines. After following the recommendations of Environmental Management System for Bordeaux wines from 2010, Magali & Thibaut Decoster achieved Level 3 of Haute Valeur Environnementale certification in 2021. In 2024, Château La Commanderie will achieve its Organic Farming certification.
A great story of quality
and a success
Placed under the authority of commanders, the commanderies were living and training places of communities of preachers, knights and affiliates. Magali & Thibaut Decoster settled at Château la Commanderie in 2005. Soil and plot studies, significant investments in production tools, uprooting and replanting phases, development and renovation works, quickly confirmed the exceptional potential of the wine. The work carried out resulted in the classification of Château la Commanderie in 2012 as a Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion
